Project A-ko by Kurumi-Lover Project A-ko by Kurumi-Lover
It's A-ko, B-ko and C-ko from left to right respectively.
Started as a redraw of a picture I drew circa 2001 that I had submitted on the now-defunct GravitonCity.com
But with news of the site's revival, I thought I'd celebrate this momentous occasion (since GC.com was the first website I frequented constantly when I first started using the internet in elementary)

Yeah

Before crack anime had a name, there was Project A-Ko.  I watched it back in the VHS days, and now I have all of the movies on DVD.  The first one is the best, though I think the others have their moments.

The first one is definitely the best, for sure.

Yes, but I still have some love for the second movie, Plot of the Daitokuji Financial Group, especially with B-Ko's lunatic of a father.

Hmm, do you have any artwork of A-ko the Vs. spinoffs as well?  there is actually a fascinating storyline in the Vs. OVA's, and I love A-ko's outfit :D

I sadly do not. I only saw them once a few years back, so it's been awhile. s: Maybe someday I'll see about doing it

If you not let yourself get distracted by the overt silliness (which, since you obviously appreciate A-ko, you already understand how to do), there is a really good sci-fi concept that shows itself through the end.  That moment where A-ko and B-ko start fighting again, and all at once, all of their counterparts in every alternate reality are fighting all at once (one moment revealing that what we have been watching was itself an alternate universe than the original).  I could see Star Trek doing something of this manner,... hmm.... FANFIC TIME :D

I miss this so much. I ran my VHS copy to the ground rewinding and studying the animation. Current Anime is missing the detail and story of classic Anime.

Thank you so much for this, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I had to rebuy the VHS back in the day because I ran the first down watching everything in slow motion. My favourite scenes to watch were all of the action scenes, pakapaka, and explosions. I feel for your entire comment though c:

Damn fine work, plus for a drawing you originally drew back in 2001 this is a great redraw of a classic Anime. Fantastic work mate.

Thank you so much!
The original picture this was based on from 2001 was pretty terrible though.
It was originally just B-ko, but this is what it looked like: i1374.photobucket.com/albums/a…

Oh man! I went through your gallery and saw your cosplays and realized I had come across them before! Great job with it ; v ;
The only A-ko cosplay I've ever seen is someone doing Mecha A-ko from FINAL.
Also, your Dirty Pair Flash cosplays are to die for, I love love LOVE DPF so much (Even if I only ever fan art'd it twice in my entire life hahaha)

Ahh,B-ko,B-ko,B-ko...such a violent person but she had a sweet mind for intelligence. Me likes. I'm surprised she didn't get to a University of any sort.

A-ko has a good physique and athletic build because we know who raised her. XD Rivaling the likes of a...well..almost any Saiyan,Major Motoko and even Deunan Knute.

She might have? but the series ended before they even left high school, so who knows D:
I don't even think Matoko really stands in the same category as A-ko, so I think it's an unfair comparison d: hahaha

I remember project a-ko, in fact i still have the movie in VHS, and how i hated c-ko in general, and how stupid miss ayumi was... when B-ko showed Robo a-ko 831... then ayumi yelled "a-ko... a-ko, how did you got so big?" and a-ko fell to the floor due to embarrassment.

i didn't had the opportunity to watch the series, my dad only saw an anime store and got the movie along with black magic m-66, 3x3 eyes and others, he wanted us to watch good cartoons not nickelodeon trash.

Imho, none of the rest of the series is any good after the first film.
Those are some good anime titles though. Idr Nickelodeon being trash back then, but now, I definitely would back him up because wtf is that crap going on now

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way, Do you mean like the wild, anarchic spirit was gone and the jokes didn't really work?

Yes, exactly! Like, I felt the writing was sub-par at best. The only one after the first one I remotely liked was Final, but honestly the animation standards were totally lacking in the other films (though the art was still as fantastic as could be)
I just feel like they should've just ended it, but I understand making money off of something popular > _ >
