Description
So as some of you may know/remember, last year (or maybe early this year?) I announced that I got to draw an image that appeared in the Funimation animated logo at the beginning of their videos, and so I thought I'd go ahead and share this with you guys.
Version A) The pose was based off the placeholder image they had there while working on the animation. I went with a sailor fuku since the original character looked to just be wearing a blouse, and what screams "anime" more than sailor fuku? This version was turned down due to pose.
Version B) This pose was based off something more associated with anime, and almost became Sailor Moon-ish. As the character being used is technically Seisei from my original comic "Chalk*Dust" (but not ), I decided to draw the parallels even closer and coloured her uniform top light blue like the uniforms in Chalk*Dust.
Version C) A single frame from the finished logo animation. You can see the logo at the beginning of many of Funimation's videos on the site and on home releases.
Here's an example of it in motion (the Funimation logo starts 10 seconds in): www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8D7rs…

Single frame (c) Funimation Entertainment
Chalk*Dust art I guess:
